29th Vienna City Marathon

April 15, 2012. The Vienna City Marathon is a major sporting event in Vienna. This year the running challenge takes place for the 29th time. More than 25.000 runners from about 70 nations can experience Vienna with all its particularities at the double quick – passing by Hofburg, Giant Ferris Wheel and Schönbrunn Palace. "Oper live am Platz" (Opera live on the Square)

April, May, June, September 2012. Beginning in April the Vienna State Opera broadcasts selected performances live on a 50 m² large outdoor screen at Herbert-von-Karajan Square next to the opera building along the Ringstrasse. Exhibition "august walla.! weltallende"

March 29–October 28, 2012. August Walla is one of the most outstanding talents of Art Brut ("Outsider Art") of the 20th century. The "museum gugging" presents the most comprehensive exhibition so far with about 400 works of all periods of Walla's creative development as painter, experimenter of text and writing as well as Land Art artist.
